Five days after your oral surgery procedure, you may begin using the oral syringe given following your surgery. Fill this syringe with either lukewarm water or a salt-water solution of ½ teaspoon of table salt to 8 oz. of warm water.

This syringe should be used after meals to help rinse away food that may become trapped in the extraction site.
